For Industrial Partners & Investors

EPC & Technology Licensing

Planning to build and own your own e-methanol plant? ICODOS can license its patented technology, execute the engineering, procurement and construction, or deliver a complete turnkey facility — whichever level of partnership fits your project.

Technology licensing

Engineering, Proven

A technology and delivery partner you can build on

>20%

lower production cost

Our patented hybrid process cuts e-methanol production cost versus conventional technology.

>28M€

in funding secured

Backed by private investors and public grants, including Horizon Europe.

1

patented hybrid process

The only end-to-end process that interlinks carbon capture and methanol synthesis in a single, modular plant — proven end-to-end on real industrial gases.

CO₂ source

feedstock flexibility

Our capture runs on raw, unpurified off-gas — a wide range of CO₂ streams and compositions, from dilute flue gas to concentrated biogenic sources.

S–L

size flexibility

We build plants in multiple sizes — from Plant S to Plant L — matched to the volume of your CO₂ stream.

Three Ways to Work With Us

Choose the level of partnership that fits your project

Whether you want to build under your own license, bring in ICODOS as your EPC contractor, or have us deliver a complete plant, all three paths draw on the same patented technology and engineering team.

Technology Licensing

License ICODOS's patented carbon-capture and methanol-synthesis process to build and own your plant, with our engineering team supporting the technology transfer.

  • Access to the patented hybrid process and process design package
  • Technical support through basic and detailed engineering
  • Training and know-how transfer for your operating team

EPC Services

ICODOS acts as your engineering, procurement and construction contractor — a single, accountable source for design and delivery, reducing interface risk across your project.

  • Detailed engineering across process, electrical, and instrumentation & control
  • Procurement and vendor management for long-lead equipment
  • Construction management through commissioning and start-up

Turnkey Plants

ICODOS designs, builds, and hands over a complete, ready-to-run plant — with the option of ongoing operations support after handover.

  • Single point of accountability from concept to commissioning
  • Ready-to-run facility built to your site's feedstock and scale
  • Optional long-term operations and maintenance support
Start With Clarity

De-risk your investment with a Conceptual Design Study

Before committing to a license, an EPC contract, or a turnkey build, a Conceptual Design Study gives you the technical and commercial basis to make the case — internally and to investors. Choose the depth that matches where you are in your decision process.

Standard

The technical and commercial basics

  • Process, utility & site conditions review
  • Mass & energy balances and block flow diagram
  • Preliminary equipment list and sizing
  • Plot plan
  • CAPEX and OPEX estimates
  • Revenue and market estimate

Extended

Everything in Standard, plus deeper engineering

  • Basis of design for electrical and instrumentation & control
  • Preliminary electrical load list and utility consumption list
  • Concept plant layout
  • Permitting assessment
  • Process flow diagram

All-Inclusive

Everything in Extended, plus project-readiness

  • Grant-funding opportunity scan
  • Scalability assessment
  • Automation concept
  • Preliminary P&ID
  • Contracting strategy and vendor list
  • Concept procurement plan
How It Works

A lean, transparent engagement process

ICODOS establishes a clear path toward a collaborative partnership, with defined go/no-go points along the way.

  1. 01

    Inquiry & scoping

A first conversation to understand your project, site, and objectives, and to scope the right engagement model.

  2. 02

    Initial offering

ICODOS proposes a tailored path — a Conceptual Design Study, a licensing structure, an EPC scope, or a turnkey proposal.

  3. 03

    Contract agreement

Once both sides are aligned, we formalize the agreement covering scope, deliverables, and milestones.

  4. 04

    Delivery

ICODOS executes — from a design study through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

Why ICODOS

A single, accountable technology and delivery partner

  1. 01

One source for technology and delivery

Unlike a pure technology licensor or a generalist EPC contractor, ICODOS is both — reducing the coordination risk of managing separate technology and construction partners.

  2. 02

A patented process built for lower cost

Our hybrid process interlinks carbon capture with methanol synthesis in a single, modular design, cutting production cost versus conventional two-step technology.

  3. 03

Proven from lab to commercial design

Every stage of our technology has been demonstrated in practice — from pilot and demonstration plants to commercial-scale engineering — so your project builds on validated data, not assumptions.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • What's the difference between licensing, EPC, and a turnkey plant?

Licensing gives you access to ICODOS's technology to build and own your plant with your own team or contractors. An EPC contract has ICODOS design, procure, and construct the plant for you. A turnkey plant means ICODOS delivers the complete, ready-to-run facility, with the option of ongoing operations support.

  • Do I need a Conceptual Design Study before licensing or an EPC agreement?

It's not required, but it's the fastest way to de-risk your investment case — giving you a technical and commercial basis before committing to a larger engagement.

  • Can ICODOS operate the plant after construction?

Yes. As part of a turnkey delivery, ICODOS can provide ongoing operations and maintenance support after handover, or hand over fully to your team.

  • What does a Conceptual Design Study cost?

Pricing depends on the package and deliverables you choose, and on your project's specifics. Get in touch and we'll scope a tailored proposal.

  • What experience does ICODOS have delivering plants?

ICODOS has built and operated its own containerized pilot plant and a modularized demonstration plant, and is developing the commercial-scale Plant S, Plant M and Plant L designs — the same technology and engineering team available to your project.
